New digital resources to help end violence against women and girls launched at Women Deliver Conference

Together with UN Women, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Health Organization (WHO) today launched a new dedicated women’s website. Online one-stop platform It aims to drive concrete action – in policies and programs – to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. The website was launched at the Women Deliver conference in Kigali, Rwanda, which brought together more than 6,000 delegates, focusing on gender equality and the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls.
Preventing and responding to violence against women and girls remains a global public health, gender equality and human rights priority. Globally, nearly 1 in 3 women will experience physical and/or sexual abuse in their lifetime, usually by an intimate partner. This shows the extent of gender inequality and discrimination against women.

Digital tools support concrete efforts to end violence against women and girls
