Oriental Meat Solutions Inc. is recalling raw and boneless pork products

WASHINGTON, May 11, 2023 – Eastern Meat Solutions, Inc., an importer of record based in Ontario, Canada, is recalling approximately 40,763 pounds of raw, boneless pork products that were not presented for import into the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Agricultural Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The raw boneless pork products are imported from Canada and further processed into barbecue pork products by another company. The following products may be recalled [view labels]:

  • 16-oz plastic packages containing Park Street Deli “Sweet Chipotle Boneless Pork Ribs in Sauce” with Lot # 3115, use by 07/08/23; Lot # 3123, use on 07/17/23; Or use lot #3114, on 07/08/23 on packages.
  • 16-oz plastic packages containing Park Street Deli “Hawaiian Style Boneless Pork Ribs in Sauce” with Lot # 3115, use by 07/08/23; Lot # 3123, use on 07/17/23; Or use lot #3114, on 07/08/23 on packages.
  • 16-oz with Lot #3116 in plastic packages containing “Marketplace Ready-to-Heat Barbecue Pork” use by 08/29/23; Lot # 3117, use on 08/30/23; Or use lot # 3122, on 09/04/23 on packages.

The recalled products have reference number “EST. 4800″ in USDA inspection mark. These items are shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered when FSIS inspection personnel determined that the products had not been submitted for FSIS import inspection.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are advised not to use them. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS regularly conducts recall effectiveness inspections, recalling firms must be notified Steps have been taken to ensure that the customers of the recall and the product are no longer available to consumers.
