¯ Rocky Beach Allen, 63, of 1170 Goose Run Road, Marietta, drives a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck in Marietta Township on April 7, turning left to get onto Ohio 7 of I-77 while Johnny Sylvester Edgel, 59, of 37 Creekside Lynn, St. Mary’s, driving a 1997 Chevy Silverado pickup truck bound south on Ohio 7, failed to stop at a red light and collided with Allen’s truck. Edgell was charged with disobeying a traffic controller.
¯ Douglas John Moon, 52, of 1788 Glendale Road, Cairo, Va., was driving a 2012 BMW M4 heading northbound on Ohio 7 in Marietta Township on April 6 when he hit James Thomas Heron, 30, of 425 Lynch Church. Road, Marietta, who was also northbound on Ohio 7 and drove a 2012 Chevy Colorado pickup owned by Smitty’s Pizza LLC, 105 Brandy Drive, Marietta. Moon began to pass Heron and Heron failed to let go of the right-of-way while turning left. Heron has been charged with a left turn on a highway without reasonable safety due diligence.
^ Charles R. Savage, 53, of 1072 Kerns Drive NE, Bolivar, Ohio, was driving a 2019 Chevy Impala west on Ohio 37 in Deerfield Township on April 8 when Clay Richard Miller, 20, of 3251 Irish Ridge Road SE, Corning, Ohio, driving a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup, failed to maintain a guaranteed clear distance ahead and hit Savage’s car. Miller was accused of failing to maintain a guaranteed clear distance. Savage sustained possible injuries but was not removed from the scene. Miller was suspected of having minor injuries but was not moved.
^ Joshua Michelle Wilson, 22, of 36770 Ohio 124, Middleport, was driving a 2010 Chevy Cobalt westbound on County Route 50 in Marietta Township on April 5 when it crossed the center line while negotiating a curve. He swerved to avoid oncoming traffic, swerved off the left side of the road and hit the end of a guardrail and a tree. Minor injuries were suspected but he was not moved. He was accused of not driving on the right half of the road.
