Middlefield — Mary F. White, 91, of Middlefield, formerly of West Virginia, died Monday, April 17, 2023, at Uman Family in Prairie.

She was born on December 31, 1931, to the late Eston and Chloe Spencer Nelson in Boyer, Virginia, and moved to Middlefield in 1955.

Mary was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Middlefield. She loved jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and baking, but also loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids.

She will be missed by her two daughters, Louise (Al) Vinson and Anita (Rick) Brown; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; One great-grandson. And a special big dog.

It was preceded by the death of her parents; husband Roy White; a daughter, Carol Sue Pring; Her siblings are Lester Neilson, Stanley Neilson, Shirley Neilson, Charles Eston Neilson, Eugene Neilson, Clyde Neilson, Janeth Fritz, Ruth Truitt, Martha Moulinex, Bessie Thompson and Sadie Brown; and two grandchildren, Mike Vinlon and Melissa Brown Gresh.

The gathering of family and friends will be from 1-4 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, where Rev. Randy Kaser will be conducting its services.

Mary will be laid to rest at Middlefield Cemetery at a later date.
