TOPEKA (KSNT) — A statewide job fair is being held later this month for Kansans interested in finding a new job.
The statewide virtual job fair will be hosted by KANSASWORKS from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, said Patrick Lowry, a Kansas State spokesperson.
“Our goal is to attract and retain the best talent across the state in a variety of sectors to keep our entire economy moving forward,” said Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland. “Our KANSASWORKS team works hard to put Kansans into good paying jobs and help them create jobs.“
The virtual job fair portal will also display useful information such as a training video for job seekers, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in, according to Lowry. Show participants are encouraged to dress professionally as some employers may request a video interview.
According to Lowry, you can participate in the show using any digital device. Any individual with special needs may request accommodation by contacting the nearest Workforce Center at 877-509-6757 prior to the start of the fair.

KANSASWORKS brings together companies, job candidates, and educational institutions to ensure employers can find skilled workers. Employers and job seekers are served by the state’s 27 workforce centers, online or virtual services.
