Area residents will be able to learn about all the services UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge provides during a special event that will be held on Wednesday.

The Health Fair will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center. It will feature 20 booths, displaying information on everything from aesthetics to wound healing.

People who attend the show will be able to get a basic blood test and make an appointment with their primary care provider to discuss the results.

They will also have a chance to win a lottery prize.

“The purpose is really to raise awareness of our services here,” said Leah Glasgow, CEO, UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge.

“Often people don’t understand that they can get care here in their community,” she added. “They are just welcome to come to our health fair and experience UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge.”

Glasgow said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have been postponing basic healthcare and wellness checks. She said visiting a health fair can help them get back into their healthcare routine.

“This is a great time to re-engage with your health for the future,” she added.

To get to the Health Gallery, people have to go to the main entrance of the hospital. This entrance is usually closed in the evening, but will remain open throughout the gallery.

Inside the main entrance, they will be greeted by UnityPoint Health staff, who will give them a bag and a map of all the kiosks.

The stalls will be directly down the hall from the main entrance.

People who attend the health fair will receive a punch card. If they get that ticket punched in 10 or more stalls, they can turn it in and enter to win a lottery prize.

The hospital gift shop will open during the health fair period.
