
Brookfield – Edward “ted” Walsh III, 75, passed away from this imperfect world on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, in the emergency room at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, after a period of poor health.
Ted was born on June 5, 1947, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Edward A. Junior and Alberta Cannon Walsh.
He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1965. He was self-forgotten when he proudly defended our flag while serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
After his honorable discharge, Ted found work as a welder. He showcased his talents to several companies in the region such as GATX, Chamber’s Steel, Sharon Steel, and Trinity Industries before retiring.
He was a life member of AMVETS Post 290, Vienna.
In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycles, antique cars, dancing, and drinking.
Survivors include his children, Troy A. Walsh of Brookfield and Todd A (Mindy) Walsh of Big Pine, Florida; daughter Doreen (Jim) Cockral of Seven Hills; The Grandchildren, Tonya (Jacob) Guthrie, Christian Wilson, Madison Wilson, Ted (Anna) Walsh, Hayley Cockral and Jacey Cockral; great-grandchildren, Alia Guthrie and Jacob Guthrie Jr.; Longtime companion, Dolores “d” Sirba is also from Warren and his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Thomas Walsh and Marian George.
Services were held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the home of Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7 SE, Brookfield, OH 44403. Sympathy may be left for his family at www.bricelandfuneralservice.com.
