The Department of the Air Force has released the first in a series featuring the stories of Airmen and Rangers from around the force.
The series, Service Stories, aims to tell inspirational and motivational stories that focus not only on the bravery and careers of service members, but also on how their service has impacted their lives.
“Our airmen and guards have many amazing stories, from what they do for our country to examples of strength and overcoming all odds,” he said. Jerry ReneDirector of Air Force Public Affairs. “We want to share these inspiring stories with the public on a regular basis to hopefully connect with Airmen and Guardians and better understand why they serve.”
of First story It features Senior Airman Kenya Sinclair, a Religious Affairs Airman assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing’s Chapel. Joint Base CharlestonSouth Carolina was born and raised in Jamaica when she and her twin sister faced homelessness after several personal tragedies at the age of 10.
The twins started running to deal with the hardships they faced in their childhood. During his high school years, he was recruited to compete at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. After attending Sinclair College, he went on to compete in four Olympics, seven World Championships and three Commonwealth Championships.
In the year In 2020, she achieved another dream and joined the Air Force to give back to the country that paved the way for her success.
Sinclair’s story is one of constant courage, sacrifice and a quest for something greater than themselves.
