The Crisp County Board of Education held their regular meeting on April 10, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. A proposal to approve the agenda was submitted, endorsed and approved. At the meeting they covered CCHS’ trip to Europe, recommending approval for CCHS’ trip to Europe from 4-16 June 2025. The motion was submitted by Jay Brinson and seconded by Anna Granville, this motion was properly conveyed, seconded, and approved unanimously. Then they went to the second reading of the revised IHE Board Policy: Promotion and Retention. Proposal submitted for approval for second reading/final adoption of revised IHE Board Policy: Promotion and Retention except for Item X. General subsection c. which states that “School-wide promotion and retention decisions will be final and not subject to further appeal.” The proposal was submitted by Jay Brinson and supported by Anna Granville. This movement has been properly conveyed, endorsed and unanimously approved. Ten of them went into an executive session to discuss or deliberate on hiring, hiring, compensation, hiring, disciplinary oaths, or dismissals, the periodic evaluation or classification of a public servant or employee, or to interview applicants for the position of supervisor. The proposal was made by Crandall Postel and the second by Anna Granville. This proposal was properly conveyed, seconded, and unanimously approved. They also reviewed the staff report, and April addition information. There was a proposal to approve and rehire the list of approved personnel; for 2024. Proposal submitted by Anna Granville and endorsed by Chris Anderson. This movement has been properly conveyed, endorsed and unanimously approved. The meeting’s final proposal was to approve the rehire of Pamela Postel for fiscal year 2024. This proposal was made by Chris Anderson and supported by Anna Granville; This movement has been properly conveyed, endorsed and unanimously approved.
