OpenAI is very popular The chatbot, ChatGPT, is expected to replace 4.8 million American jobs, according to a new report.
External and executive coaching company Challenger, Gray & Christmas recently posed a bunch of questions to the ChatGPT bot, including “What functionality can ChatGPT replace?” And in which areas the robot would be best able to operate, according to a press release made available to Fox News Digital.
The bot told the outplacement company that it is likely to replace repetitive and predictable situations, which are also leaked in language requirements. These fields, according to the bot, include: customer service representatives; Translators and interpreters. Technical writers copywriters. and data entry clerks.
Challenger, Gray and Christmas broke down the number of jobs in each field included using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and found that at least 4.8 million American jobs could be replaced.

The chatbot added that it could see itself entering other fields such as data science; machine learning; Mathematics and Statistics. computer science; Robotics and automation. and work.

“At the moment, AI should be seen as a tool to support workers and not as a replacement for their roles. Certainly, predictive language models can be used to automate tasks, giving workers more time to focus on higher-thinking ones,” said Andrew Challenger, MP. The first is Challenger President Gray & Christmas, in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
An OpenAI spokesperson told Fox News Digital when asked about the number on the jobs that the AI system can sometimes “hallucinate” and “make up information that is incorrect, but it seems plausible.” The spokesperson added that OpenAI’s mission is to “enhance jobs” with AI, not eliminate them.
Launched in November last year, OpenAI’s ChatGPT broke records as the fastest growing user base with 100 million monthly active users in January. OpenAI released its latest version, GPT-4, just last month. The bot is able to simulate human-like conversations with users based on the prompts provided.

However, last week, thousands of technologists, leaders and others signed an open letter published by the nonprofit Future of Life warning that AI Labs should pause research on any more software. More powerful than GPT-4.
“AI systems with human competitive intelligence can pose serious risks to society and humanity, as evidenced by extensive research.”[1] And it has been recognized by top AI labs,” the letter, signed by tech leaders like Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, began.

The letter says labs should use such a pause in hashing “and implement a set of shared safety protocols to design and develop advanced AI that are rigorously audited and supervised by independent, external experts.”
