Reports

Robber, 2023-04270211, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. On April 27 at 5:10 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a hoax that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was learned that the suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and left without paying. The loss prevention officer made threatening statements and confronted the suspect, stating that he had a weapon, before abandoning the stolen items and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers searched the area for the suspect and returned negative results. The suspect is a black male, approximately 5’3″-5’6″, approximately 30-40 years old, wearing a blue sweatshirt, green shorts, a black backpack and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.

Attempted Grand Larceny, 2023-04270287, 2000 Block of S. Eads Ave. On April 27 at 11:29 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a vehicle disturbance. Upon arrival, a witness observed two young suspects pulling door handles and looking at parked vehicles. Responding officers located the suspects in the area and took them into custody without incident. A search of the suspect’s property turned up a weapon consistent with an auto burglary. Appeals are pending for both juvenile suspects.
