Old Bridge, New Jersey (WABC) – A special education teacher is accused of abusing one of her young students in New Jersey.
Christine Badush, 42, of Howell worked at Madison Park Elementary School in Old Bridge.
Police say they were told last week that two employees witnessed Badush forcefully grabbing an 8-year-old boy with his hands on the victim’s wrist and leg and then throwing the child under her desk.
She was then accused of taking the boy’s shirt and forcing him to wear it over his face.
Police say the victim was shot in the arm.
Baduch was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
She appeared in court on Tuesday to answer the charges against her and was released on parole.
“The employee has not been, and will not work in the district pending the decision of criminal proceedings,” David Cittadino, superintendent of public schools in Old Bridge Township, said in a statement.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Old Bridge Police Department Detective Hall at (732) 721-5600 X 3202 or Detective Ayala of the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office at (732) 745-4194.
